I have a BA in English/Writing and am currently working towards a Masters in Special Education. I have many years experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a variety of settings.

I regularly engage in politically charged discourse in a multitude of forums.

I own a massive collection of PEZ dispensers.

I like to write fiction, long and short. I enjoy writing poetry, but do not consider myself terribly adept.

I openly welcome constructive criticism of my writing.

Update: 4/21/11

I started a teaching job recently and it has pretty much taken all of my free time. I will return here occasionally and eventually will publish a few more Hubs and re-establish contact and familiarity with my favorite writers.

Update: 1/26/12

My job can be quite a chore. Urban school districts require a unique skill set and a great deal of patience. Thankfully, i seem to have enough of both to be keeping my head above water. Having friends in the same boat helps.

I hope to be adding more as I am finding the time to write more. I look forward to comments.
